Today in Michael Jackson History – April 20

2002 Michael Jackson performed “Dangerous” at the taping of the “American Bandstand 50th Anniversary” TV special. He performed the song a second time because he was not pleased with his performance.

1997 – Michael Jackson was on hand to unveil a wax statue of himself at the Grevin Museum of Wax in Paris. He provided one of his own outfits to dress the statue.

1996 Michael Jackson’s single “They Don’t Care About Us” debuted at #4 in the U.K.

2009 Michael starts the rehearsals for the “This Is It’ concerts at Center Staging in Burbank, California with Kenny Ortega & Travis Payne.

2010 Cirque du Soleil announced that it was preparing two live touring shows featuing the songs of Michael Jackson.

1990 – singer Janet Jackson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

    MJ is undoubtedly the king. When i listen to his records i feel like he is still alive. Surely one of the biggest music stars ever been born!
