Today In Michael Jackson History (December 31st)

1987 – The album Bad is certified as a US four-times platinum disc by the R.I.A.A.


1977 – Michael spends New Year’s Eve at the Studio 54 with Liza Minelli among others.


1989 – Michael is presented with a scroll giving him the title Best Selling Male Singer of the 80’s as part of the Cilla Black ITV Show “Goodbye to the 8O’s”.

1992 – Michael plays the last of eight non-consecutive nights at the Tokyo Dome, Tokyo (Japan).


1996 – Michael ends the year with a concert at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre, Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei). 40,000 people attend the show.

2003 – Michael spends New Year’s Eve at his Beverly Hills mansion with Mark Lester.

2005 – Michael and his guests spend New Year’s Eve at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain where they have rented 3 luxury villas.


2008 – Michael is spotted at Hennessey & Ingalls a Santa Monica bookstore. He then visits Dr Klein in Beverly Hills.

2010 The Discovery television network announced it had “postponed indefinitely” its plans to broadcast a reenactment of Michael Jackson’s 2009 autopsy. The show’s title was “Michael Jackson’s Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson.”

    Michael Jackson is undoubtedly the king. Anytime i listen to his records i feel like he is still alive. Definitely one of the best pop music celebrities ever!
