Today In Michael Jackson History (August 5th)

1994 – Michael & Lisa Marie arrive in Budapest, (Hongria) via London Heathrow, where Michael filmed a trailer for his forthcoming album and make their first public appearance together causing a media frenzy.


1973 – Jackson 5ive perform World Tour in Baltimore, Virginia.


1984 – The Jacksons perform Victory tour at Madison Square Garden, New York City, NY, USA attending 17,000.


1992 – Michael performs Dangerous world tour at Cardiff Arms Park in Cardiff, UK attending 50,000 fans.


2003- ’Butterflies’ taken from Michael’s album ’Invincible’ wins a BMI Award at the 2003 Urban Awards.


1972 – ‘Ben’/‘You  Can Cry On My Shoulder’ by Michael Jackson, released in July by Motown  Records, enters the Pop singles chart and peaks at number 1, becoming  Michael’s first solo number one hit, selling over 1 million copies.
